August Workout of the Month

To be done 1-2 times each week in August.

Always foam roll and stretch before and after your workouts.

– Step abductions (sm, med or tall step depending on your current level) – 20 each leg
– 10 mins on treadmill (or elliptical) at the highest incline and speed you can maintain
– Step abductions (sm, med or tall step depending on your current level) – 20 each leg
– 10 mins on treadmill (or elliptical) at the highest incline and speed you can maintain

 * 3 sets of each exercise:

– Side plank – time dependent on your current level (beg opt – on knees)
– Bicycle series – 8, 10, 12 or 15 counts depending on your current level
– Lunges with overhead (shoulder) press – 12 each leg

* 3 sets of each exercise:
– Single arm/single leg back flys (adv opt – standing on airex, dyna disc or bosu) – 12 each arm/leg
– Pushup rotations (beg opt – can be done on knees)
– 20 Tricep dips (beg opt – bent knees, interm opt – straight leg, adv opt – on stability ball, extreme opt – on medicine ball)

– Step abductions (sm, med or tall step depending on your current level) – 20 each leg
– 10 mins on treadmill (or elliptical) at the highest incline and speed you can maintain
– Step abductions (sm, med or tall step depending on your current level) – 20 each leg
– 10 mins on treadmill (or elliptical) at the highest incline and speed you can maintain
